Many of us who have MCS/ES find answering the door can be hazardous to our health because frequently those on the other side of the door are marinating in toxic fragrance chemicals.
Sometimes a simple sign like this will do.
Other times it is not enough and we need to provide more information.

What is civilized about extracting and using fossil fuels from the earth in ways that cause harm to all living beings?

So here is what I did and why:
Fragrance chemicals are linked to so many health problems now that they should be banned from indoor environments just like smoking.

Now is a time of great personal and planetary change.
We can be here as stewards of a truly precious resource, the planet earth, that which sustains us and nourishes us, that which provides air, water and food to us, as long as we don’t allow it to be pillaged and polluted beyond repair.
We can work on preserving and increasing whatever purity and sacredness is in ourselves and our planet, and indeed we must, for each other and for future generations.

I see a little poster being shared all over facebook all the time telling people to look for a sticker starting with an 8 to warn us that the produce has been genetically modified.
We do not have laws to label GMO foods in North America, so you won’t see a sticker that starts with an 8 here! Not until we get laws to mandate them!
The original poster gives people such a false sense of reassurance.
